Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Joy Marketing collects through joy-marketing.joy-tech.io (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to answer you, and we never sell your information.

1. Who we are

The Site is operated by Johanna Saenz, doing business as Joy Marketing ("Joy Marketing", "we", "us"). You can reach us at privacy@joy-tech.io.

This policy covers the Site, its forms, and the emails we send because of them. It does not cover the client portal or the services we provide to clients, which are governed by each client's service agreement.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Book a call form: your email address, your main social network, the link or @handle of that profile, and, if you clicked a plan, which plan.
Free resource form: your email address and, if we ask and you agree, your consent to receive marketing emails from us.
Emails you send us: whatever you choose to include when you reply to us.

Information collected automatically

Your IP address, browser type (user agent), and the date and time of each form submission. We use these to prevent spam and abuse.
Whether the download link in our email was opened, and when. Some email security tools open links automatically, so we treat this as a delivery signal only.
Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.

The Site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

3. How we use your information

To send you the resource you asked for.
To follow up on a call request and prepare for that conversation.
To send you marketing emails, only if you agreed to receive them. You can stop them at any time.
To protect the Site and our email system against spam, abuse, and fraud.
To meet legal obligations, such as honoring unsubscribe requests.

4. Emails and unsubscribing

Every email we send from the Site includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email privacy@joy-tech.io and ask to be removed. Once you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a do-not-contact list so we never email you again by mistake.

If someone entered your email address without your permission, you can ignore the email or use its unsubscribe link. You will not hear from us again unless you ask.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Site, under their own privacy and security commitments:

Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosts the Site and its database, and delivers our emails (Amazon SES).
Calendly: if you book a call, Calendly receives the details you enter there, plus the email address we pass along so you don't have to type it twice.
Google Fonts: the Site loads its fonts from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. Google does not set cookies for this.
Email marketing tools: if you agreed to marketing emails, we may manage our list with an email platform that we operate or that acts on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

6. External links and content

The Site links to and shows content from other services, such as Instagram and Calendly. When you click through, those services collect information under their own privacy policies, not this one.

7. How long we keep information

We keep lead information for 24 months after our last contact with you, and then delete it. We keep unsubscribe requests indefinitely so we can keep honoring them. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security.

8. How we protect information

The Site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to stored information is limited to the people who need it to do their work. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

9. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

tell you what information we have about you;
correct it;
delete it;
stop sending you marketing emails.

Email privacy@joy-tech.io and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the owner of the email address.

10. California residents

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. To exercise the rights in section 9, email privacy@joy-tech.io.

Do Not Track: browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because the Site does not track you across other websites, it works the same way whether or not that signal is on.

11. Children

The Site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Where information is stored

Our information is stored on servers in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed there.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on the Site.
